Lego Army

Jordan LOVES legos. But only the castle ones really. And it is his goal, apparently, to own every castle set Lego has come out with. Two days ago Jordan set up an army using my dad's minifigs combined with his own. Here's the result:

Neglected

Incase you haven't noticed, this blog gets highly neglected so I will announce loudly that if you actually want up to date info on our family, you have to
check out Our Sweet Gremlins.
In other news, Jordan is rather frustrated with life right now. He's tired of not having a job (it's been about a month and a half since he's worked a day) and no one hiring him. He's tired of not being able to go to the VA for job finding assistance because his DD214 still has yet to show up. It shows that he has been honorably discharged. He's also frustrated with finance because no one seems to know what is happening with his severance pay. He calls 2 to 3 times a week and still there's not even a hint of it or of anyone knowing the reason why. So it's a very good thing we're living with my parents because we'd otherwise be evicted from the apartment for not being able to pay rent. Yes. This is all a pain in the butt. The only thing working almost properly is getting re-enrolled in Tricare health insurance. Though I still haven't heard from the doctor of who my maternity referal is too and I'm quite overdue for an appointment. They're supposed to call today so if I don't hear from them I'll call tomorrow.
Now go read the blogs I actually update.

Energy Drinks

Today is Jordan's. . .third or fourth day without an energy drink. . . .oy. . . .I'm willing to put up with him though because I want him to stop drinking them. He was drinking one or two a day for the last few weeks. He's a very very grumpy man without them. Yesterday he wasn't very happy and today he's got a perpetual scowl and he's still in bed! So we'll let him stay in bed at least another half hour this morning.

Maddie is an artist this morning, first coloring in her Care Bear coloring book then drawing with chalk on her chalk board. (mommy had the foresight to get her sidewalk chalk for it, knowing we'd have broken chalk issues otherwise).

Abby is congested with icky green.

Happy car

Since Uncle requested an update on the car. . .I'm happy to say it's happy!! It took Jordan most of the day but he successfully changed our brake pads, put on new rottars (I dont' know how to spell), as well as did an oil change, replace some part of some suspension thing (he's not happy entirely with it though) and found why the radiator was leaking (some hose or plug or something was not firmly attached).
As much as he chose to whine about it the week leading up to it and the morning of, I think he's VERY proud of himself. Infact as soon as we get our tax refund he intends to check out the back brakes, replace the drums, and put a new spring on the suspension thing that he says is making the car uneven. He feels like the driver side front is sitting lower than the rest of the car. It really was before, but I think it feels normal now. Oh well. I'm glad he's found a new hobby. The cost for the first repairs he did? $208 for parts (and a manual on fixing our car) and $13 for the tools and a space in the auto repair building on base. I think it would have cost more, but he didn't get there early enough for a lift so they just jacked the car up in front and put bricks behind the back tires.
Apparently the building also comes with a guy that is an actual mechanic so if you're having trouble with something you can get advice from him.

So, Thank you to my brother-in-law Matt (the utah one) for helping Jordan out and thank you to my sister-in-law Emily for giving up her husband for the day to assist my husband and be there with a car that works incase they needed to run and get anything (such as how after about 3 hours Jordan realized he left his wallet at home).

In Air Force updates: Now that Jordan has his date. . .he's been informed he has 3 days to completely outprocess. He's working on getting that expanded to at least a week. 3 days to do ALL his outprocessing?! He's freaking out. He hasn't even been to his appointments for the VA and he's not the one who scheduled those appointments, they did!! Today though he had to run home to grab his Chem gear to turn back in. And he's SO sad about it. Sarcasm there btw. They have exercises coming up that he was scheduled to participate in. Dumb. But now he won't since they're getting him off base and he's no longer got the needed gear!

this also means that next week I won't be the only one packing up the house!! We need to get moving! in more ways than one! hahahaha. yes. I think I'm funny.

Car Mechanic

He fixes F-16s so why not fix the car as well? Jordan has a long day ahead of him. He is renting the Auto repair lift on base and the needed tools, for very cheap. What is he doing to our car? Shocks. Brakes. Oil change. Perhaps something to do with the radiator.
Yesterday on his way home from work he stopped at AutoZone for the parts. We're very happy he was in uniform because they apparently have a very good military discount! Parts were $100 less than they would have been!! We can eat this next two weeks!! yay!
